Blue - Tri - Color

I would like to share this story with you:  Joyful Acres was in need of a top of the line quality Bulldogge to outcross back into dogs that we had produced out of Lil' Blue and Capone,  both Sullivan line dogs and Warlock who was produced by Willie K. at Full of Bulls.  We had been doing some line breeding back and forth with our Capone, Lil' Blue and Warlock stuff and we were very happy with how it was turning out.  To take our dogs to the next level we needed something really outstanding to take them too.  The kind of quality I was searching for is seldom for sale.  As circumstances would have it I was made aware that Morpheus might be for sale.  Morph was an absolutely beautiful blue tri male, that I had followed since his birth.  I was familiar with his pedigree and the dogs in his background.  I did some more checking into him and what he was producing.  I spoke to Jo-Ann of What-a-Mug, who produced the parents of Morpheus.  I spoke to people who had personally had contact with Morpheus.  Beth and I had been saving money for some time for just the right new stud dog.  We have always tried to look forward a few years in our program and at that time we had been looking for about two years, for the right dog.  The price, although very hefty, was possible, because we had been saving and planning for a couple years.  I was excited with the prospect of what he could do for Joyful Acres Bulldogges and believed he was the perfect match for the females we were producing.  I made a call to Erik of HogHouse Kennels, who produced Morpheus.  After some talk we agreed on a price and Morph was shipped to Joyful Acres. That is how Morpheus came to live with us in Iowa.  He did not disappoint and is even better than we had hoped!
