Shawn, Here are some new pics of Bruno. He's short of 16 inches tall,23 inch head, and about 80#s. He's been slimming down on me cause I've been working him out but he's getting really lean. He's a got a really good drive and an awesome personality. He's got the best temperament. He's very loyal and such a loverboy. He loves anyone who is willing to rub his stomach. I cant stop Thanking you enough on such an amazing pup.

Just dropping you a line to let you know Boston our male pup from Thundaar and Dixie is doing great!! He is a bit worn out from the holidays, and I have enclosed a few pics of him in his new bed. Hope all is well, and we can't wait to get another puppy from you guys in the near future!

Hello, Just wanted to send a quick note and let you know how Earl the bulldog we bought from you has changed our life and to let you know we don't know what we would do without him. He is the joy of all of our lives and is such and entertainer. I have had animals all my life but have never had a dog that I enjoy as much as Earl. He is the star of our family. Such a gentle, sweet natured young man he has turned out to be, and listens so extremely well. He doesn't need a leash when walking ,and never trys to leave the yard, not even to go see another dog, he just sits and stares at what is going on around him. He has attached himself to Jeff as his best buddy and the two of them would be lost without the other. Thank you so much for such a wonderful dog who thinks he is human. Thank you so much for our beautiful dog, we LOVE her!!! We named her Fergie and she's a little ball of energy. Its cute - she has a little marking on her neck, and it looks like a lightening bolt - thought that was ironic since her dads name is Thundaar. Thanks again!

He’s doing great! Abe is very smart. He’s already learned how to sit and fetch his ball and bring it to me. He’s doing very well with the potty training too. When we take him outside for a walk he never leaves our side. We have two cats he would love to play with but they will have no part in that. Friends of ours have a beagle; Abe has had fun playing with her. We have a pool and have been teaching him to swim. He can swim from about half way on his own but he’s not too sure of being in the water, except when he’s on the float with me. We have a great picture I’ll have to send of him sleeping with me on the float; hogging the whole pillow of course. Abe’s been practicing going up and down our stairs too. Then, this evening I went up to fix my daughter printer and he followed me all the way up and down. I’ve attached a few pictures but will send more. One is with my oldest daughter.

Hello, Just thought you guys might like to see "Sargento, AKA: Sarge" (Bernard) He has grown a ton!! He has been great and the boys are loving having him! He can have a mind of his own sometimes!! We have a cat, she has not decided if she likes him yet or not!! Our neighbors have a lab and they play great together, its a lot of fun watching them. Beth and Shawn, I wanted to send you some pictures of Gunner at six months. He is about 17 inches tall and 52 pounds. The black part of his coat has a brown tint to it in the sun. He has a very good disposition and learns quickly. We only have to repeat something several times before he picks it up. I will send you more pictures when he turns one. Bob

Just wanted to let you know that Tater and Porkchop are doing great. They are a wonderful addition to our family. Porkchop is really sweet she just wants to cuddle. Tater is really neat to look at, he is really beautiful and has the best temperment. They are both really well behaved and need little training. They seem to just get it for the most part. They love the kids and follow them around all day. Our 18 month old climbs all over them and steals food from their bowls and there is never a worry. The other day our 5 year old got into a scuff with one of his friends, as soon as they heard him cry they were up and by his side to see what was wrong. Porkchop runs circles around Tater. I think he is getting prettier by the day! He and my other bulldog/shar-pei mix killed their first raccoon the other day. It was by accident--I didn't know the coon was down there. He is fearless! Capone and Hemi did a great job on this guy. He has boundless energy, natural drive, and the heat does not bother him a bit. He especially loves my 10 year old in the picture. They go do things out in the field together and Massimo is the only dog not afraid of the mule. They kiss each other. Can you imagine that?! A mini mule kissing a bulldogge! It's the sweetest thing ever. You produce the best dogs and I feel honored to have one of them. I also appreciate your tribute to our military. They are a hand full as pups but when they get to this age they are so fun & worth all the work & training! Molly loves attention & having her belly rubbed & cuddling, Harlen is a little more shy, sensitive & gets his feelings hurt easy, he cracks me up. I think they will produce some great pups. I purchased a bulldog from you guys about a year ago and thought that you might like some pics. She is doing great and could not be happier.

He is doing wonderful, he looks great and his personality is perfect. We recently got a Brussels Griffon pup and he is so gentle and loving with the little pup. Its great to see from him. He is doing well with is obedience training truly a joy to have around.

Hi Shawn and Beth, My husband had emailed you about Kane and you replied to him about the question. I just wanted to say thank you myself for the info and for the pup. He is such a lover, although he tends to stick with me more than Tony...lol He has brought such joy and happiness into the home and one thing is for sure, there is never a dull moment anymore. Now I am having to contain myself about not getting another one right now, but don't think I don't look at your website often to keep my eyes out too. He is adorable and I am so happy to have him. I also wanted to tell you thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedules to answer our email too, wow, you guys are just awesome. My father in law may also purchase a pup from you, but we will have to figure out the best way or time it so that the pups are available and they are in town with us. We just wanted to say thanks to Shawn and Bethany of Joyful Acres for Retro’s newest stud vindicator. Vindicator is settling in really well for just turning six weeks old - he is a beautiful dark Mahogany color, very active and athletic for his young age, and he has not one ounce of shyness in him, I really like that in a pup. Vindicator is out of Capone and Gladiator's Rose. Capone was breed out of Willie Sullivan’s line and Rose was breed out of My Bulldogges’ line. Vindicator has a long and impressive genealogy behind him on both sides from these two well-known and respected breeders. We are very happy to have with us a young Bulldogge of this stature and quality at Retro.

Just wanted to write a quick note and thank you for my bulldog Mr. Boone. He is a happy little guy, he loves to follow me all over the farm, as I do chores. He is also very tough, as my horse stepped on him a while back, and he is still going strong! Mr. Boone sleeps on the floor next to my bed, but he does snore! He is really starting to get a nice big chest on him. I love beautiful fawn / brindle color and his bully head. He's great little buddy, thanks again!!

Well I gotta say I couldnt' be any
happier with my boy. I decided to name him Hulk and he's really starting to
live up to that name. He will be 6 months on Tuesday and I can't believe
how much he's grown. He's just a little ball of energy and he's so fun to
be around. But now that he weighs about 60 pounds, he's quite the load to
have sitting on your lap, haha. Isn't it amazing how much he looks like his
daddy(Capone)? He really is worth every penny I gave for him and if you
ever want to see him or anything just let me know because you guys brought a
great joy into my life. Thanks for everything and I will for sure keep you
in mind if I ever want another one!

Dear Shawn and Beth, Bruschi (Bru) is doing great! In case you were wondering, we named him after our favorite NE Patriot Tedy Bruschi. He's getting along really well with our other dog Max, an 11 year old German Sheppard mix. He loves our 2 cats, but they don't love him...yet. We got him for our daughter Samantha. He was a big surprise. She came home one day and he was in the kitchen waiting for her. She is having so much fun with him, we all are. He recently graduated puppy kindergarten and we signed him up for advanced training classes. The classes went very well because he is so smart and highly motivated by treats. He'll do anything for a cookie! He has been a wonderful addition to our family. We can't thank you enough for our special little guy, who is growing bigger by the day. He's now 4 months old and about 30 pounds. Thank you, take care, Kim

He comes to the salon where I work sometimes for the day and the clients love him! P.S. the last picture is Deuce and my friend Holly, she has a frown just like a bulldogge! Enjoy the pictures. Christina is doing great! She is so beautiful and very well behaved. Whenever she meets someone new, she gets very excited and loves to play. Here are some photos of our little girl. She's only about 12 weeks old in the pictures, but you can already tell she is going to be a gorgeous bulldogge. She is very smart and eager to please, so training her is turning out to be a breeze. Her registered name is "Joyful Acres' Christina Grace" and we love her very, very much.

Thank you for our girl Wheezy. She is real bouncy, she likes to greet people as they walk past, especially people walking their dogs. She knows the command for sit and lay down and loves running up and down the basement stairs. People have commented on how they like her markings and how she is growing. She loves belly rubs and one couple that walk past just love her, he gets right down on the lawn and plays with her, his wife is allergic to dogs so they don't have any. Oh yeah, she likes to pull on shorts/pant legs so we have to warn people of that. Thanks again, Rita & Tom

I purchased Jazzie from you in February. I just wanted to let you know she is doing great. She is a sweetheart and we love her so much. She can be a pill when it comes to other dogs, she loves to tease them and it's funny. My dog and her have become very close, they are inseparable. I attached a picture of her with my boyfriend. Hope you guys enjoy these pics as much as I do, I just think he is the cutest! Tee Hee. Viking is growing so fast and changing so much. He is going to be 3 months old this Saturday. I cant believe how much having a puppy has added to my life (even if a lot of it is work...) He is so loving and so amazing. For those of you who didn't know, Peter and I got an Olde English Bulldogge puppy 3 weeks ago (even though he is still in Iraq, we picked him out online). He is super cute, and tons of fun. He is growing fast, he now is almost 20lbs! The vet thinks he is going to be huge, and so does everyone else when they see the size of his paws. He started his puppy kindergarten classes, and has learned sit, leave it, take it, watch me. We are working on "settle" too, to get him to settle down, but he seems to ignore that one. He has 2 speeds... 1 is fast, where he runs around like a crazed creature, the other is off, when he is sleeping. He keeps us busy, but he is amazing. I am so impressed how easy he is to train, I doubted training a puppy, but he learns so fast. My last dog was a black lab, and we had 2 years of training, and she only listened 50% of the time. Thanks again for my baby, I love him more than anything despite the cuts and scrapes!

I am honored to comment on our wonderful new puppy. Magnum (we renamed him) is a joy to have in our house. He is full of energy and is an instinctive adventurer, although not purposefully naughty, he does like to mouth everything. There is an obvious excitement and passion for children within him and his love for our other dog and our family has been truly comforting. He is very healthy and keeps growing everyday. The sweetness in his eyes and in his kisses is a pure gift. We start puppy obedience classes this week, and I anticipate some interesting learning experiences for Magnum, as well as us. he has not quite figured out the benefit of pottying outside consistently, and he definitely does not like cold weather. But time and persistence will prevail. Magnum got his third set of shots yesterday and he already weighs 16.8 pounds. He is a very healthy doggie!! From what I can see, given the right opportunity, we would definitely purchase another Olde English Bulldogge from Joyful Acres.

Hello ALL , I just wanted to send some pics of Candy AKA Bailey. My daughter is the one in the pic wiping her face cause Hoochie kissed her, the other girl with bailey is my step daughter to be Tia. As you can see they all love each other! I took Bailey to the vet Monday, he said that she is one of the most impressive bullies he has seem in awhile. Nikki my daughter came up with bailey because she is always bailing her out of trouble. For instance on Tuesday Bailey got in a little fight with a 12 week old kitten and well sorry to say she lost! The kitten scratched her lip and up above her eyebrow area, lol but she hasn't learned anything from that cause she still wants to play. I have to say that Bailey is a lot easier to housebreak then even our other dog hooch. Well I will keep you updated and THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for this little angel Sincerely Debbie

We are happy to tell you how things are going with our puppy. we have named her Ellie and she is adorable. She is very pretty, with her white face and sparkly blue eyes. She is very affectionate, and loves to cuddle. She still tries to fit in our laps, but at 13 weeks she barely fits. She also loves to play, we are her favorite toys, but she has a teddy bear that she loves to chew on, too. She has an old shoe and odds and ends that we let her chew on. As for her training, it took patience, but she is doing very well. She hasn't pooped in the house for 3 or 4 weeks now. She will only wet inside if we are distracted and don't see her head for the door. She will usually ring her bell on the door to let us know she has to go out. She knows how to sit and is learning to settle. She is very intelligent and eager to please. We cannot say enough about our little Ellie. She is sweet and loveable and lots of fun. Our two teenage daughters really love her too. She gets and gives a lot of affection. Thanks for this little girl!
